중앙대 국제교육원, EXPAT 키즈 글로벌 클럽(KID'S GLOBAL CLUB) 오픈

중앙대 국제교육원이 서울지역 외국인 거주자 자녀들을 위한 '씨에유 키즈 글로벌 클럽'(CAU KID'S GLOBAL CLUB)을 공식 오픈했다고 밝혔다. 씨에유 키즈 글로벌 클럽은 국제문화(intercultural) 청소년 클럽으로, 어린이들이 다양한 스포츠와 문화 활동에 참여해 그들의 성장과 개발, 우정을 쌓을 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.

3-6학년 초등학교 방과 후 활동 (After school 클럽 프로그램인 씨에유 키즈 글로벌 클럽은 리틀리그 클럽(Little League Club), 새들 클럽(Saddle Club), 미켈슨 클럽(Mickelson Club), 스탠리 클럽(Stanley Club) 등 모두 4개 프로그램을 운영한다.

이 프로그램에는 PGA, 전미골프교사연합, 캐나다승마협회 등 각 분야의 정식 기관에서 지도자 자격증을 소지한 전직 프로선수들이 교사로 나선다.

키즈클럽 하이라이트

리틀리그 클럽(Little League Club)- 야구를 좋아하는 어린이들을 위한 토요일 야구 프로그램. 초보 학생들도 지원할 수 있고, 기간은 10주이며, 첫 연습과 게임은 4월 5일에 시작된다. 자세한 정보는 (http://kidsclub.cau.ac.kr/activities/littleLeague2.asp).

새들 클럽(Saddle Club)- 프로 승마 교사가 이끄는 승마 프로그램. 동물과 말을 사랑하는 학생들에게 권장할 만하다. 한 수업에 최대 10명의 학생만 참여할 수 있다. 말을 직접 타보면서 말과 말을 돌보는 기본적이고 일반적인 지식을 배운다. 기간은 10주이며, 첫 수업은 4월 1일에 시작된다. 자세한 정보는 (http://kidsclub.cau.ac.kr/activities/saddle2.asp).

미켈슨 클럽(Mickelson Club)- 골프에 흥미를 가진 학생들을 프로골프와 골프티칭 자격증을 소유한 교사들이 가르치는 프로그램. 그룹 당 최대 10명이며, 골프 스윙, 피칭, 칩핑, 퍼팅 등 골프 기술을 연습할 수 있고 9홀(파3) 코스에서 직접 골프도 칠 수 있다. 기간은 10주이며, 첫 수업일은 4월 1일이다. 자세한 정보는 (http://kidsclub.cau.ac.kr/activities/mickelson2.asp).

스탠리 클럽(Stanley Club)- 전직 국가대표 선수가 가르치는 아이스하키 프로그램. 모든 레벨의 어린이들이 참여할 수 있다. 그룹 당 22명에 2명의 교사가 지도한다. 기본 스케이트 기술에서 슈팅 기술, 팀워크에 이르기까지 모든 것을 배울 수 있다. 기간은 10주(매주 일요일)이며, 4월 6일에 첫 수업과 게임을 시작한다. 자세한 정보는 (http://kidsclub.cau.ac.kr/activities/stanley2.asp).

씨에유 키즈 글로벌 클럽은 연중 어린이들이 함께 배우고 즐기고 때로는 경쟁할 수 있는 각종 클럽 대회를 개최한다. 또한 국제문화 행사도 열어 다양한 문화경험을 교류하고 우정을 쌓을 수 있는 기회도 제공한다.

씨에유 키즈 글로벌 클럽은 한국에서의 동일한 스포츠 활동 경험을 통해 서울지역에 있는 외국인 거주자 자녀들에게 글로벌 문화를 체험하고 교류하는 시간을 갖도록 초청한다.

The Institute of International Education of Chung-Ang University Opens CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB for Expat Kids in the Seoul Metro area!

To the great anticipation and interest of the expatriate community in Seoul, the Institute of International Education of Chung-Ang University has officially opened CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB to membership registration. Providing the foundation for the growth and development of children and the building of friendships, CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB is an intercultural youth club where children can gather together to participate in various sports and cultural activities.Instructed by a group of former professional athletes who have instructor certifications from official organizations in their respective fields (PGA, United States Golf Teachers Federation, Equine Canada, etc.), the launching of CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB comes with the opening of four exciting after school Club programs (Little League Club, Saddle Club, Mickelson Club, and Stanley Club) that have been specifically designed for children in Grades 3 to 6.

 

Club Highlights

Little League Club - A Saturday baseball program for children who want to have some fun playing baseball. The Club runs for 10 weeks, and all skill and competitive levels are welcome to join. Saddle Club - A horseback riding program, led by professional equestrian instructors, that is perfect for children who love horses and animals. Maximum 10 students per group lesson. Students learn everything from general knowledge about horses and horse care to basic horsemanship through mounted riding practice. Saddle Club runs for 10 weeks, and lessons begin on April 1, 2014. Mickelson Club - A golf program instructed by golf professionals and certified instructors for children who have an interest in trying golf. Maximum 10 students per group lesson. Students not only learn and practice their full-swings, pitching, chipping, putting, etc., but also have a chance to put their new skills to the test on a par-3, 9-hole course. Stanley Club - An ice hockey program coached by a former national team player for students of all levels and skating abilities. Maximum 22 students per group lesson with 2 instructors. Everything from basic skating skills to shooting skills and teamwork are taught in this Club. Stanley Club runs on Sundays for 10 weeks, and lessons and mini-games begin on April 6, 2014. CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB will also host a variety of fun CLUB Events throughout the year where children can come together, have fun, and even sometimes use their skills to compete for awards, as well as Intercultural Events that give children an opportunity to learn about their world and develop intercultural friendships by interacting with other kids their age and sharing in cultural experiences.

Giving children the same sports and activity experiences here in Korea that they had back home, CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB invites expat children in the Seoul Metropolitan area to come and join in the fun, and experience the global club culture that is CAU KID’S GLOBAL CLUB.
